Giving the wheel. What do I pass to my family so they don’t make the same mistakes I made.

The other day, the eatdrinkman.com and I were talking about lemons and our new goal to drink more water. Drinking a lot of water all day was a little boring. So, a couple of us purchased some regular concentrated lemon juice from the grocery store and were adding it to our water for some flavor.

We started talking a little bit more on the benefits of using lemon juice, then we found out that drinking our water with the concentrated lemon juice from the grocery store did NOT have the same health benefits as freshly squeezed lemon juice. To read the reason, please visit http://proliberty.com/observer/20040711.htm.

So, we quickly moved our conversation to using real lemons. EatDrinkMan.com had some great suggestions from the cooking world on how to get the most juice from regular lemons and limes.

Tip 1: Use your lemon or lime when it’s at room temperature.

Tip 2: Big Tip! Before cutting your lemon or lime, squeeze it or press down on it while rolling it on the table. This will break up the insides of the lemon or lime so juice will flow out a lot easier and faster.

    Enjoy!
